New technologies CPD

Classroom ICT CPD
Fujitsu is launching an OCR-backed course to help teachers develop their understanding of a range of new technologies.

The course involves online and face-to-face training and will focus on technologies including the internet of things, virtual reality, augmented reality, cyber security, data analytics and big data, programming and AI (cognitive computing). Participants will be awarded a professional accreditation – the Fujitsu Digital Badge – upon completion.

It comes as the company is to expand its Ambassador Hubs initiative in Scotland, with 10 new hubs to open by 2019. It is inviting inquiries from interested schools and colleges from March 1 onwards. Two existing hubs are based at Border College and Fife College.

Members of the ambassador programme work with Fujitsu to set up an innovation hub within their institution, including technology for students, the local community and local organisations to use. Details of both the hub expansion and the new course are available online.
