The second annual ADHD Foundation conference takes place in Liverpool on Monday and Tuesday (October 13 and 14). Aimed at both education and social care professionals, the event features a range of presentations and debates from both health care and education professionals and young people themselves. Day one is aimed at clinicians only and day two is multi-disciplinary – bringing together clinicians, educationalists and child care agencies. A core focus will be to address the challenges and opportunities related to CAMHS funding, the new SEN code of practice and escalating demands for services, as well as sharing and spreading best practice. A new London Curriculum initiative is to create educational resources covering art, music, history, geography and English. Aimed at key stage 3, the units use the capital city and its heritage to engage students. It also offers them the chance to extend their learning by exploring the city and gives suggestions for projects students can take on. A total of 15 teaching units are available for teachers who register. Visit: http://bit.ly/1uPoMnD
