Into Film launches Home Learning Hub

The charity Into Film has launched a new Home Learning Hub to support blended and remote learning in schools.

The Into Film website has seen increased usage during the Covid-19 pandemic, offering as it does resources, teaching guides and curriculum-related film lists.

The new Hub consolidates the charity’s key content across all key stages.

Among the resources are a range of downloadable activities and games tackling themes such as creative thinking, character, interviewing techniques, and budgeting.

There is also access to a number of British Council short films – for primary and secondary – and associated resources which are ready for delivery in class or at home. These cover themes relating to English, music, PSHE, citizenship, art, and design technology.

Another resource encourages and supports young people to get involved with film-making and animation at home.

Elsewhere, Into Film has also updated its film list to help support Anti-Bullying Week this week (November 15 to 20). Run by the Anti-Bullying Alliance, this year’s event has the theme United Against Bullying and the films chosen aim to help pupils discuss the different bullying issues raised.

Also this month, Into Film has unveiled the winners of the annual Into Film Awards, which celebrate the creative excellence of pupils and their teachers across the UK.

A number of winning films, animations and documentaries were unveiled across the different age categories, and there were Film Club of the Year and Teacher of the Year awards too.
