The V&A Museum has launched a key stage 3 design and technology programme offering free teaching resources and a National Schools Challenge.

Entitled V&A Innovate, the aim of the programme is to develop pupils’ skills, prepare them for GCSE study and promote the potential careers that the subject can lead to.

The programme draws upon the London museum’s collections, exhibition research and industry practice and can be delivered in an after-school club, over a few weeks, or intensively over one day.

A new V&A National Schools Challenge will open in September with finalists to be invited to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges.

The V&A already has an extensive schools programme, including workshops (pictured above), talks and other gallery-based sessions.
