The week-long event takes place from November 11 to 15 and is being organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance.
This year’s theme is “Change Starts With Us” with the aim of underlining how everyday acts like listening to young people, having a conversation, thinking about the impact of our words, or stopping before hitting “like” on a hurtful social media post, can help to reduce bullying.
Ahead of the event, the ABA will be working with young people to develop parent tools, films, a social media campaign and a set of free cross-curricular teaching resources to support both primary and secondary schools.
Elsewhere this year, the Anti-Bullying Week School Staff Awards will recognise those inspiring members of the school workforce who go the extra mile to support pupils and prevent bullying.
As well as the Anti-Bullying Week support, a range of resources, including teacher packs and information, is available on the Anti-Bullying Alliance website to help schools with their anti-bullying work all year round.
