SecEd's latest Guide To focuses on the skills and knowledge that teachers need to develop in order to become effective middle leaders.

Produced in conjunction with the Association of School and College Leaders, the Guide To offers practical advice on developing these skills, such as leading by example, thinking beyond the classroom, negotiating skills, having difficult conversations, team-working, understanding your own leadership style, and more.

It also includes a whole-school case study and details of the new Ahead Network, which is supporting middle leaders with their CPD and career development. Published: October 2014
