This SecEd Webinar offers practical advice and ideas for how schools and teachers can support students who are struggling with anxiety and poor mental health, tackling a range of issues including school avoidance.

Anxiety features regularly in the top 10 reasons why children and young people contact Childline, and research by Place2Be and the NAHT earlier this year found that 95% of school staff reported an increase in anxiety among pupils.

This free to view hour-long webinar took place on November 8 and features an expert panel discussing the tenets of effective whole-school approaches to supporting students. We also offer ideas and tips for classroom teachers on how to support students who are struggling. Other themes in the webinar include support families and addressing school avoidance. The panel also took extensive questions from the webinar audience.
