Popular #Teacher5ADay campaign to tackle stress leads to new book

A successful Twitter campaign aimed at offering support to stressed and workload-laden teachers has resulted in the publication of a not-for-profit book.

The hashtag #Teacher5ADay was started by teacher Martyn Reah in 2014 and saw a wealth of problems and solutions shared by teachers on Twitter.

The publication, entitled #Teacher5ADay Journal and Handbook, has now been created by another teacher, Naomi Ward, who has compiled and edited the range of advice that was given during the campaign.

The first edition has been crowdfunded by teachers with the hope that investors may be found to take on future publications.

The ideas shared online form the basis of the book, which encourages teachers to focus on five areas in their daily lives. It offers guidance on how to set goals and aspirations that they can work towards and how to improve wellbeing.
