The long awaited proposals for the government’s National Funding Formula (NFF) for schools has greatly alarmed headteachers and politicians alike.

We were accused by the Department for Education of scare-mongering when we gave predicted losses in November through our School Cuts website. Now the NUT, ATL, GMB, NAHT, UNISON and Unite – have updated the site to reflect the funding losses facing each school in England using the latest figures from the national funding formula consultation and the National Audit Office (NAO) calculation of school costs. The picture is bleak. Far from scare-mongering, the reality of the government’s plan is actually worse than we predicted.
