Keeping Children Safe Online

Safeguarding CPD Pupil wellbeing
The online world brings many positives and possibilities, in the way children create, strengthen friendships and even in the way they learn. But it’s also full of risks – and it’s constantly changing.

In 2018/19, Childline handled over 2,200 counselling sessions about bullying and online safety.

Keeping Children Safe Online is an online course, developed by the NSPCC in association with CEOP. This elearning course will help you to understand what children and young people do online, the risks that they may encounter and how to respond to these risks.

The course contains nine sections with opportunities for you to reflect and develop your understanding and confidence, and includes topics such as how children use the internet and technology and cyber-bullying.
