The app shouldn’t be mistaken for a search engine even though it looks like one. It is an informational tool that delivers specific answers calculated from the data gathered from all the information related to your questions. Students can learn many things as it covers a variety of subjects but they will need teacher’s support to ask the right questions.

The Elements – A Visual Exploration 

Price: £9.99 (iOS)

Educators teaching chemistry will be using this app as a valuable reference in their lessons. Based on The Elements by Theodore Gray, this periodic table is one of the best we have seen. The app comes packed with video demonstrations of the properties of the elements, 3D visuals, more than 500 rotatable objects with amazing details, and the app also connects to Wolfram Alpha for live data.

Quick Graph

Price: Free (iOS)

This is one of the best graphing calculator apps we have tested and includes many features that both teacher and students will appreciate. It lets you graph multiple equations at the same time – on top of the 2D graphs you can view equations in polar form and 3D and it allows you to copy, save and email your results. Take the in-app upgrade you can access features like the VGA that can be useful in the classroom.
