The Smallpiece Trust’s courses include topics such as Humanitarian Engineering and 21st Century Materials and are aimed at students aged 14 to 17.
They are mainly four-day residential courses and are based at universities across the UK.
Other courses in the 2019 programme include Mobile Robotics, an Introduction to Cyber Security, Motorsport Engineering, Aviation Engineering, Girls into Engineering, and Astrophysics. The courses will take place between April and July.
The Smallpeice Trust exists to give students aged 10 to 17 the opportunity to get hands-on experience of cutting-edge science and engineering technology.
The charity offers in-school STEM days, teacher training, as well as so-called “Think Kits” to help support the teaching of STEM in the classroom.
