Secondary school students are being urged to enter the UK Aerospace Youth Rocketry Challenge, with a trip to the Paris Airshow in June for the winners.

The challenge sees teams of up to 10 creating a rocket more than 65cm in length using a basic kit. They must be motor-powered and capable of taking off and landing with a raw egg on board that remains intact.

The finals take place in Essex on June 2 and 3 and teams can either “self-quality” or attend a qualification event on May 20.
