The podcast has been inspired by SecEd’s support for the Let’s Go Zero campaign, which is supporting schools with this work.
During the discussion, which features both students and teachers, we ask why this work is important, what Let’s Go Zero is and how it works, and we also consider practical carbon reduction ideas, wider eco-work including single-use plastics and food waste, how student eco-teams can work, using the free En-ROADS simulator resource, and the Youth Climate Action Network.
We also discuss how schools can save money by prioritizing carbon reduction, including energy surveys & reducing energy use and procurement.
As well as hearing from Let’s Go Zero and two schools, we hear from two students as well who are passionate about this work.
