Ofsted has launched a new website that allows employers to “rate” further education and skills providers.

Called Employer View, the website allows businesses to give their views on the specific providers who train their employees, including apprentices and those working for them on placements or via work experience.

The providers must be those covered by Ofsted and the inspectorate has said that comments left on the site will be a “vital asset” to its inspectors.

The aim is also to allow other employers to view comments left about specific training and further education providers.

When they visit the site, employers will be prompted to fill in a questionnaire giving their views and will be asked if they would recommend the provider to other employers.
