Spark offers physics resources

The Institute of Physics (IOP) has launched an education website aimed at providing a “go-to” resource for all aspects of pre-19 physics study.

Called IOP Spark, the website offers physics education resources, themed research, news, videos and topical content aimed at bringing classroom teaching to life.

There is also CPD content for teachers as well as research and strategies to help you identify and address common student misconceptions.

The website offers a growing bank of more than 2,000 free, inter-linked IOP education resources, including lesson plans and teacher notes, and is searchable by student age, physics topic or type of resource.

All resources are IOP-approved, themed by curriculum areas and have been tried and tested by physics teachers. The site also offers access to TalkPhysics, an active online physics teaching community.
