Published in June 2018 with support from IT Governance, the Guide focuses on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that came into effect on May 25, 2018.
It considers the seven principles of GDPR compliance, offers guidance to ensure effective GDPR provision, sets out the key best practice approaches so that schools can self-review data processes & procedures, explains the role of the data protection officer, advises on cyber-security and how to protect your school, and looks at key issues including data breaches, privacy policies & consent.
