The seventh SecEd Guide To, published with support from the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL), focuses on using data to drive school improvement. It looks at the three key strands of data collection and how these fit together – centrally provided data, information from commercial products, and teacher assessment.

We also consider how schools should pass data on to staff and how they can ensure that all staff are involved in the intelligent use of that data in the classroom. The Guide looks at what Ofsted wants to see when it comes to data use and application. We also have commentary from two school leaders, including a case study on how to keep data use simple but effective. There are further resources and information as well as commentary from the ASCL.
