Winners in the ninth annual Childnet Film Competition will see their films screened at a finalists’ event in London and used in schools across the country as educational resources.
The challenge is organised as part of the charity’s work with the UK Safer Internet Centre and entries will be judged by experts from the BBC, BAFTA, BBFC and the BFI.
There are two age categories – seven to 11 and 11 to 18 – with primary pupils encouraged to make a 60-second film and secondary students a two-minute film.
Childnet is looking for creative, imaginative films which show how young people can make a positive difference online and there are resource packs available to help schools deliver the competition. The deadline for entries is June 11.
