An inquiry into school sports and the London 2012 legacy has been launched by the House of Commons Education Select Committee.
The cross-party group is inviting written submissions that consider the impact and effectiveness of current government policy and expenditure on increasing sports in schools, as well as the likelihood of achieving a school sports legacy from London 2012.
MPs will also discuss, the impact so far of the Games on take-up of competitive sports in schools, and ideas for further measures to ensure a sustainable and effective legacy.
Submissions are invited by March 26. Visit www.parliament.uk/education-committee
