It follows the government’s 2014 reforms to the SEND system, which saw a new SEND Code of Practice and the introduction of the Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
The cross-party inquiry is aiming to “review the success of these reforms, how they have been implemented, and what impact they are having”.
As part of the inquiry, the committee is inviting written evidence on:
Committee chair, Robert Halfon MP, said: “There are rising concerns about the quality and access to SEN provision which the committee will want to explore in this inquiry.”
The deadline for written submissions is June 14.
